20 years of INWX
INWX celebrates 20 years and celebrates in style. To mark the company's anniversary, we have also reached the milestone of 500,000 registered domains.
Membership with Registrars.se
We are now a member of Registrars.se, the Swedish industry organization for .SE registrars. This non-profit organization represents the interests of registrars to the Internetstiftelsen and promotes the development of the .SE domain. Through our membership, we can actively participate in shaping the Swedish domain market.
Payment in US Dollars
In addition to Euros and Swiss Francs, we now also accept payments in US Dollars.
Direct Accreditation for 100 ccTLDs
Our portfolio of country-code domain extensions continues to grow. We are now directly accredited for 100 ccTLDs, allowing us to register domains quickly and efficiently without intermediaries.
Founding of INWX España
To provide even better service to our Spanish customers, we established our Spanish company, InterNetworX, SLU, in Mallorca. Marc Gelabert takes on the role of CEO of the new company.

This is something we are proud of: Since the beginning of the year, we have managed over 320,000 domains for more than 50,000 clients from over 150 countries!
We work with more than 200 registries, registrars and resellers.
RrSG
At the end of the year we become a member of the Registrar Stakeholder Group. This is a diverse and active group within ICANN that ensures that the interests of registrars and their customers are effectively represented and promoted.
Finally: our name!
InterNetworX Management GmbH is founded in August and becomes the general partner of the limited partnership in September. Since our customers have known us for a long time under the abbreviation INWX, we now trade as INWX GmbH & Co. KG.
Technical Advisory Board at DENIC
Mario Peschel is appointed to the Technical Advisory Board by DENIC's Executive Board. This body supports members and customers in technical development. It currently consists of representatives of seven member companies.
Founding of INWX AG in Zurich
To provide even better support for our Swiss customers, we established INWX AG in Zurich. Our services are now also available in Swiss Francs (CHF).
Anniversary celebrations
InterNetworX Ltd & Co. KG celebrates its tenth anniversary — and is proud to have registered more than a quarter of a million domains.
Round Table at nic.AT
Mario Peschel is elected to the nic.AT Round Table Committee for the first time. In the Round Table, registrar representatives provide important input on various topics. The members are elected every three years by the nic.at registrars.
Privacy and security
We do everything for your security early on: We introduce the products Whois Privacy and Mobile TAN as well as two-factor authentication.
Exhibitor at DOMAINfest Global
In February, InterNetworX participated as an exhibitor at DOMAINfest Global in Santa Monica.
DNSSEC Domain
When DENIC offered DNSSEC for .DE domains in May 2011, it didn't take long for InterNetworX to register the first domain with key material at DENIC.
Exhibitor at Domain pulse
InterNetworX participated as an exhibitor at Domain pulse in Dresden, the leading conference for the domain industry in the German-speaking region.

Direct registration through ICANN
A great success: InterNetworx is now an official ICANN registrar. Not many German companies meet the requirements. Now we can directly register domains like .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ and other new gTLDs.
First ICANN Meeting
We attended our first ICANN meeting in Los Angeles. Since then, numerous ICANN meetings have followed, becoming an integral part of our commitment to the international Internet community.
Further accreditations
Out into the world: The country code portfolio grows to include Italy (.IT), Denmark (.DK) and Luxembourg (.LU). CoCCA accreditation adds six new domain extensions: .CX, .GS, .KI, .MU, .NF and .TL.
10,000 Registered Domains
InterNetworX reached a significant milestone by managing over 10,000 domains for our customers. Motivated by this success, we continued to expand our offerings and consistently enhance our services.
dotBERLIN
InterNetworX is actively involved in the design of the top-level domain ".BERLIN" – as a shareholder of dotBERLIN GmbH & Co. KG
Accreditation for .DE
A very big and important step for InterNetworX takes place in May 2006. As a cooperative member of DENIC eG, all .de domains can now be registered directly with the official registration office.
First accreditations: .EU and .AT
Shortly after the name change, InterNetworX Ltd. & Co. KG takes its first steps as a registrar. The company is accredited by EURid and nic.AT in order to be able to register .EU and .AT domains as an official registrar.
Off to the capital city!
In the summer of 2005, the company moves to Berlin under the new name InterNetworX Ltd. & Co. KG to Berlin. We have remained loyal to this home to this day!
The founding of InterNetWORX
Mario Peschel founds InterNetWORX New Media in Freiburg im Breisgau and develops the Domain-Robot - the centrepiece of INWX. It enables fast, simple and automated domain registration at a favourable price.
The idea
Mario Peschel registers his first domain - internetworx.de. Free services were offered such as hosting, e-mail and subdomains for around 150,000 users.
