The extension .COM, derived from the word "commercial", was originally supposed to be considered for business people only. Due to its popularity it is now used in any area.

The Top-Level-Domain .NET, derived from the word "network", also left behind its actual intended purpose for organizations involved in networking technologies. As an alternative to .COM this extenstion enjoyed rising popularity.


Besides you get every .MX and .COM.MX domain for only EUR 19.95 (net: 16.77) instead of EUR 39.90 (net: 33.53) from September 1 until September 30, 2011.


Both private persons as well as companies can register .MX and .COM.MX domains to show their presence in Mexico. The term "MX" is also known as "Mail Exchange" used in the DNS.
